Work Placement General (not college/course placement)

I acknowledge receipt of your enquiry regarding work placement/experience.

While there is limited scope in this regard, Leitrim County Council will consider and facilitate, where possible, applications for work experience. We are unfortunately only in a position to do so however where the work experience / placement is a specific requirement of a students’ college or training course. Applications in this regard are considered through formal requests from the Student’s Educational Institution, and insurance indemnity is provided by the educational institution for the period of work placement. We have also engaged with Graduate work experience programmes, including the WAM programme which is a work placement programme which aims to promote access to the labour market for graduates with disabilities. 

I regret to advise that we are not in a position to offer you work experience at this time.
